This meditation cultivates connection by directing attention inwards to simple aspects of our existence that we become blind to, like the preciousness of our body. The meditation is based upon Thich Nhat Hanh’s method of aligning simple phrases with your natural breathing. When you hear the bowl gong chime, you listen to the phrases, then the 2 key words, which you repeat inwardly in alignment with your inhale and exhale. The words connect us to our body parts, smiling into various aspects of our physical body. This meditation is very helpful for grounding back into material reality and to cultivate appreciation for the physical vehicle of our body.
