Do you want to inhabit the space of Inner Peace consistently?
This journey we call our life, is an opportunity to craft yourself as a New Human, one who is centered in Inner Peace and helps to build a New Earth, wherein all life is respected equally.
Start with yourself. Are you whole, nestled in a space of contentment and Joy? If so, you would be a rare person; one with a strong sense of purpose, emanating grace and making a difference. Likely you’ve worked through many (lifetimes?) of challenges and, you likely have a significant spiritual practice that keeps you centered. Distractions are endless!
What happens internally when someone/something presses your buttons? Does that inner ‘reaction’ move into harmful speech? Action? Inwardly? Externally? Likely both…. these situations are our reference points for shift. Shed the light of awareness onto these moments, and intend to dissolve them. It is up to you, to Upgrade your resonant energy and maintain it to be consistently in a space of inner peace. A yoga practice can provide the opportunity to practice. How?
- It begins with awareness. When something feels uncomfortable (you see something, someone says something…). Do you chest breathe? Mind get agitated with attitude? Go to last month’s focus & direction on deep abdominal Breathing to practice the essentials. (https://yogaoasis.biz/blog/). Practice until you can inhale to the count of 1010 (1001, 1002, 1003….), – same length on the exhale – remaining relaxed throughout.
- Once established in deeper awareness through the breathing, tap into what your body is telling you… create this connection of checking in…
- during yoga postures, focus on the realm of sensation in your body. What does the stretching sensations feel like? Are feelings or emotions arising? What are they? How are you Reacting in your mind? What thoughts arise…. Notice, observe, Witness….
- Continue to develop awareness of body sensations, emotions, and thoughts, until you see patterns. What are they? How do you resist what shows up? What is you MO of distraction, that takes you away from staying with the experience?
- Return to the present moment. Invite IN what you resist! Be Curious to what is.
# 5 is the Key to it all…. Return to the Present moment – your breath is the essential vehicle.
However, practicing Being in the Present Moment during one posture a day, will significantly expand your witness awareness to everyday activities.
Try it now with:Triangle Pose / Utthita Trikonasana
What is your greatest struggle? How do you resist staying present? Are you resistant in the realm of physical, emotional, or mental energies? I’d love to know, please comment.
